Oregon-based Bolt Threads is launching an underground revolution, quite literally. Using the mycelium, the roots of the mushroom, the company has developed the world’s best alternative to animal leather. To bring it to consumer market, Bolt commissioned designer Patrick Long of Chester Wallace to create a beautiful, sustainably-made vegan tote with the new material.
